Durban - Two brothers accused of shooting dead a National Freedom Party member appeared in the Umlazi Magistrate's Court on Thursday.
Muzi, 29, and Xolani Ntuli, 32, had been expected to apply for bail, but their defence counsel was not available. The State had planned to oppose bail.
The matter was postponed to November 7. They remain in custody.
NFP member Mthunzi Gwala was shot dead in July. His body was found on a road in Umlazi's T-section with four gunshot wounds to the head.
Police said the motive for the murder was not known.
The court was packed to capacity, as on previous occasions, with supporters of both the NFP and the Inkatha Freedom Party.
