Port Elizabeth - Seven men have been arrested while on their way to bomb a Port Elizabeth ATM, Eastern Cape police said on Monday.
Lt-Col Priscilla Naidu said the group was nabbed on Saturday night after a tip-off as they drove to where the attack was supposed to take place.
“Police confiscated 10 explosive power gel cartridges, a detonator, a car battery and charger as well as a bullet proof vest,” said Naidu.
The group was expected to appear in the Port Elizabeth Magistrate's Court on Tuesday where they would face charges for the illegal possession of explosives. - Sapa
