There are now more Americans age 65 and older than at any other time in US history.
London - A passionate six in ten pensioners say it is important to maintain an active sex life in old age, says a study.
And one in six are prepared to use technology such as internet dating to try to find their perfect partner – but 23 percent worried how their children would react.
While 62 percent want a “romantic partner”, many simply want a friend to “ease the feelings of loneliness”, the study by Age UK found.
The poll of 2,000 people aged 65 and over found that 83 percent said friendship becomes more important in later life as children grow up and loved ones pass away.
