KwaDukuza - A 32-year-old man handed himself to police on Tuesday in connection with intimidation and attempted murder in KwaDukuza, KwaZulu-Natal police said.
Colonel Vincent Mdunge said the man was accused of shooting and injuring a man and threatening to kill another in a taxi-violence related incident earlier this month.
“The suspect is linked to the ongoing violence between rival taxi associations in the KwaDukuza region, and it appears that he had realised that the net was closing in on him. Therefore he opted to hand himself over to the police.”
He was expected to appear in the KwaDukuza Magistrate's Court on Wednesday. - Sapa
