Life plus 90 years for rape, robbery

A KwaZulu-Natal man was jailed for life plus 90 years on Tuesday for rape and robbery, police said.

Sibongiseni Sibisi, 32, was earlier found guilty by the High Court in Pietermaritzburg, said Captain Thulani Zwane.

He committed the crimes in the Inchanga area during 2010 and 2011.

“Sibisi would go to different households, where the victims were either alone or with minors, and rape them before robbing them of their belongings.”

Sibisi faced four counts of rape and assault and that of robbery with aggravating circumstances.
