Home Affairs Minister Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma has been elected as the first female head of the African Union Commission.
A Durban-based church will honour recently appointed chairwoman for the AU Commission, Nkosazana Dlamini Zuma, as well as the newly appointed police commissioner, General Riah Phiyega, at a service tomorrow.
The Ethekwini Community Church (ECC), headed by Pastor Vusi Dube and his wife, Pastor Taki Dube, have invited a number of prominent women to honour them as part of a Women’s Month event titled “Women of Virtue”.
The event takes place every year in August but this year’s programme is dedicated to honouring SA women in leadership positions.
According to our sister paper, Isolezwe, Dlamini Zuma and Phiyega have confirmed their attendance tomorrow.
