Boy dies in accident

A seven-year-old boy was killed when he was hit by a bakkie in Pietermaritzburg on Thursday, paramedics said.

Netcare 911 spokesman Chris Botha said the child was trying to cross a busy intersection when he was hit by the bakkie. The boy died due to extensive injuries suffered in the accident. - Sapa
