Baby dies in Durban fire

A six-year-old child burned to death in a fire that broke out on the seventh floor of the Frenoleen building, in Durban on Saturday, paramedics said.

“Fire department and Netcare 911 (paramedics) arrived at the scene and after the fire was extinguished found a body of a child suspected to be around six year- old, the child had tragically died in the inferno,” said Chris Botha.

It was not known what caused the fire. - Sapa
